EFL is a small share group of high potential women associates from across the grocery industry. Programming is designed specifically for up-and-coming women leaders within the independent grocery industry. It's mission is to increase individual leadership impact through the development of skills necessary for success in advanced levels of leadership and responsibility in the independent grocery industry. Participants will create impactful connections across the industry.
Meetings are typically Spring and Fall. 2024 meetings are virtually May 9 and in-person the week of September 16th in Austin, TX.
Women within the independent grocery industry with a minimum of two (2) years of experience who are beginning to lead within their organization and looking to continue their career advancement in the industry. Nomination from a manager is required to be accepted into the share group.
Candidates must be NGA retail, wholesale, or associate members.
Cost of the program is $1,000 per year for all programming. Cost includes meeting materials and meeting registration, as well as additional networking and virtual engagement points throughout the year.
Travel and accommodation expenses are additional and to be covered by the attendee.
Scholarships: Scholarship are available to accepted applicants. Applications for scholarships must be submitted with applications to the program for consideration.
Applications are accepted on a rolling basis based on group size. If no space is available due to intimate group size, member will be added to a waitlist.
There will be a three-year cap on involvement with the EFL Share Group. Members may then apply for the EXFL Network.
EFL members will meet twice a year (late spring and fall) once virtually and once in-person for day-long or multi-day programming.
Participants will also have numerous networking and virtual touchpoints throughout the year to provide a continued space for learning and building industry relationships.
A buddy system between EFL and EXFL will also be established to facilitate mentorship opportunities for EFL members.
It is recommended that each member attend all meetings for the program to be effective.
Cancellation Policy
Membership fees will not be refunded or adjusted per meeting. Fee is for participation across the year.
