Fareway Stores Inc. held a groundbreaking ceremony April 1 for a new Fareway Meat & Grocery store at 15790 State Ave. in Basehor, Kansas.
The 21,000-square-foot store will be the first full-size Fareway Meat & Grocery location in Kansas, and will feature a built-in smoker to provide freshly smoked items that are typically only offered at Fareway Meat Market locations. The site was first announced in February 2024.
“Today is an exciting day for Fareway as we begin construction on our first full-size Fareway Meat & Grocery store in the state of Kansas,” said Fareway CEO Reynolds Cramer.
