The NGA Board provides an opportunity for individuals to make a difference. Board members provide significant input into the Association’s strategic plan, public policy and positions, programs and financial plans.
NGA Board membership provides a good opportunity to work alongside other innovative and committed industry leaders to develop programs to improve the overall competitiveness of the industry.
The independent grocery industry is incredibly diverse in so many ways, particularly diversity of formats and types of markets served and diversity of leadership. A diverse NGA Board can help ensure that all interests are represented and heard.
NGA Board members are highly respected in the industry. Board participation provides a wealth of opportunities to meet other well-respected industry leaders and enhance your company’s visibility with other retailers, wholesalers and suppliers.
The purpose of the Board of Directors is to represent the food industry members by developing, governing and supporting the mission, vision, and agenda of NGA.
NGA Board membership is limited to senior executives employed by NGA member companies.
Board Member Roles & Responsibilities
Support all Association activities
Attend, participate and engage in all board meetings
Volunteer for committees to become more engaged in the goals and objectives of the Association
Promote and represent the Association to others
Support the Association through expanded company participation, at all association events
Assume board leadership roles when asked
Nominations are due by September 16th, 2024
